I have purchased many Woody knives in the past. However this one was a wedding gift to personal friends. I was so impressed with this knife I will be ordering one for my self. The simplicity of buying from Woody makes it so much better.

This knife is great for everything from chopping carrots to thin slicing ribeyes. I wish I had bought 2 of them. The green handle is super sweet too.

This knife is a beast. I had to use it for a while before making a review. I tried to handle it like a chef's knife but this did not work for me due to the thick handles and sharp hilt, no chamfer, where you would grip a chef's knife. After adjust my grip and cutting stroke, the chopper and I are slowly becoming one. I got the wooden handles and not sure if micarta would have been better for aesthetic reasons. The wood seemed inconsistent in color and patterns, but I have become accustomed to it's rustic, asymmetrical look; to be sure, it is definitely unique. Cutting is a breeze and lays a tall sandwich in half without a twitch. In chopping meats and vegetables, a tip-down and back stroke seems to be the trick for me.
