Take care your new “Woody” Knife and it will last a life time. Keep it clean and dry and if you use it on a regular basis, the oils from your hands or any meat being processed will keep the blade in good shape. When storing for a week or more keep the knife out of the sheath. A light coat of machine oil on the blade is a good idea too. For the handle, an occasional buffing with 0000 steel wool will help keep the surface bright. Applying a good grade of polishing wax with a light buff every now and then is a good idea too. Woody likes Renaisance Crystalline Wax for both the handle and the blade. Oh, and keep away from the automatic dishwasher.
