Woody and Gus have been in the Woody Shop working on the next batch of Ophidians, our new series of small-batch, limited-edition releases inspired by the ‘Original Woody’s infatuation with The Old Slithery Mr. No-Shoulders. The guys are working away on a handful of ideas; the first is a sleek and slim, fillet-style, outdoor-indoor knife that goes by the working title of the BlackJack Racer. Our first release of 100 Lil’ Pythons sold out in less than three weeks, so we are eager to get another drop live as soon as we possibly can. In the meantime, Woody thought it would be fun to make a small batch of the working prototypes for the upcoming new edition available for purchase! As a result of experimenting with various handle finishes we have about 10 with BlackJack Racer-ish Curly Maple scales and another 10 we are affectionately calling W.O. The Old Gray Rat. This handsome finish reminds us of the beautiful Eastern White Oak Grey Rat snake. We like it so much we may save this finish for one of the next Ophidian releases.
