EPOCH, a word that means a new era, represents a new chapter for Woody Knives. In developing the new EPOCH line Woody started with the principles that inspired our forefathers: our northern stars of craftsmanship, fit, finish, form and function. With these guiding lights to steer him, Woody launched his quest to create a line of mid-tech hand-shaped knives that would live up in every detail to the handmade knives he had been crafting for years -- all while keeping pricing well within a day’s pay.
In 2022, after months of prototyping, field testing and an intensive search for the very finest U.S sourced materials and fabrication techniques, small-batch production of our inaugural three patterns began via our partners in Alian Village, Longgang District, SE Roc. We are confident that the original Woody would be proud.

ONE HIGH-PERFORMING S35VN BLADE.
Woody took a unique approach when it came to the blade design and edge geometry on the new EPOCH line of knives. The challenge: create a blade with delicate control while having enough backbone to accommodate heavier jobs. Many designs, re-designs and prototypes later the EPOCH “chisel point” blade was born. As they say, this blade is all it’s sliced up to be. The scalpel-like chisel point allows for delicate surgical work like slicing and prepping. The Chisel Point affords precise penetrating power. All this in a much heavier blade than those normally found in paring and slicing knives.

The EPOCH line of knives is available in six handle finishes; Our stabilized Pennsylvania Curly Maple scales come in Natural Blonde, Mallard Green, Smoke Gray and Gunstock. And our Micarta scales come in Moss Green and Black Raven. Tough decision, we know.
