Here's a classic Woody designed modified “Max Franklin” Gentleman’s Field Knife.  The random grid Alabama Damascus artfully exhibits 416 layers of high carbon 1085 and 15n20 tool steel and nickel. Damascus blades are much like snowflakes - no two alike. The very labor intensive process of forging the billet makes it impossible to duplicate two billets alike. Woody chose Vermont Ash for handle material and backed it up with green composition liners for accent and resiliency.
