The LongHunter

Before there were trails, there were men who made them.

The Long Hunters pushed beyond the settled frontier for months at a time, traveling light and depending on what they carried to hunt, eat, build shelter and make it home again. A good knife wasn’t part of their gear — it was one of the things they simply couldn’t do without.

Our LongHunter is Woody’s nod to those early American woodsmen: a lean, capable 10-inch field knife handmade from 1095 high-carbon tool steel, with rugged Python Micarta scales, Old Glory red, white & blue liners and a patriotic red, white & blue mosaic pin.

Each LongHunter comes with a handmade top-grain leather sheath by Lonnie Hyatt Leatherworks of Salem, South Carolina.
