The story of the P’Cola goes back about fifteen years to a small blind-alley shop in Pensacola, Florida, where Woody first designed a compact 6¾-inch patch knife for a muzzleloader customer.

Woody called it the ULK — the Unique Little Knife.

Word spread quickly in the black powder world, and before long the ULK developed a loyal following. After a couple rounds of edge geometry tweaks, the knife proved itself to be more than just a patch knife. Folks started carrying them every day — using them as EDC utility knives and even kitchen paring knives.

About that time Woody decided the little knife deserved a name tied to the place where it all started.

So the ULK became the P’Cola, named after the Gulf city where it was first conceived and where it gained its early reputation.

Today, many hundreds of hardworking P’Cola EDCs are in use all over the world.

A Special P’Cola

In the summer of 2023, Woody decided it was time to make a few special examples of the knife that started it all.

Fewer than ten P’Colas have ever been crafted using Alabama Damascus, the steel Woody selected for this limited run. This particular example features Linen Micarta scales with blue composition liners, giving the knife a distinctive character while keeping the balance and utility the P’Cola has always been known for.

At 6¾ inches overall, the P’Cola remains what it has always been — a compact, hardworking little knife equally at home in the pocket, the field, or the kitchen.
